About Me
Hello,

My name is Jeremy. I'm Dutch, though I speak both English and French fluently, and my German is pretty good too. I studied history in London at the LSE and political science at the College of Europe in Bruges. I've lived in Paris for over 40 years now. Over the years I've spent quite a lot of time in Japan. I am a photographer by profession - my work can be seen on Instagram - though in order to make ends meet I have been teaching English, French, Dutch and German for over 30 years on a freelance basis, something I actually enjoy a lot. I teach photography too. I like to make my classes as much fun as possible for I've found it's the most effective way to improve one's language skills. Having learnt quite a few languages - I speak a bit of Japanese and Italian too - myself, I understand where difficulties occur. I try to keep lessons on grammar to a minimum and encourage reading and watching films in the original language. For those who live in Paris, I'm happy to receive my students at my home where I live with my wife and 16 year old son. I'm equally comfortable teaching on line. By the way, I give courses in photography too, the old kind of photography that is, analogue.
