Your voice is a unique expression of who you are. In beginning voice, we will begin to discover your voice and work on exercises to free the voice and body.

In voice lessons, you will learn fundamentals of resonance, breath support, and stage presence. You will bring songs to sing that are personally meaningful to you, and I will suggest additional songs for you to learn based on the style of music you like and your vocal goals.

If you write music, bring it to class! We can use it in our lessons. Reading music not required. All styles welcome.

About Me

My highly individualized approach will help you find your unique way of expressing yourself through music.

In voice lessons, we will bring together music, movement, vocalizations, and mental images that will free your voice.

In composition lessons, we will build your musical identity through a combination of listening, writing, and making music on your primary instrument.

In-ear training, we will study music that you like to not only understand how this music is made but also what about it speaks to you.

I also teach improvisation and piano and am open to teaching two subjects in one lesson.
