State graduate oboe teacher. Experienced, passionate and dynamic, I offer private Oboe lessons!
From 79.98 C$ /h
I give with great pleasure and passion oboe lessons for budding musicians of all ages and all levels - from total beginner oboist to very advanced level - through progressive lessons, based on the instrumental technique of the oboe and the development of musical expression on the instrument.
I am patient and attentive, and I consider that it is obviously essential to adapt to the objectives and personality of the student. My pedagogy is based on the exchange, the development of the listening of the feelings with the instrument, the methodology in the work which leads to the effectiveness, and naturally the pleasure which the practice of the oboe gets. I seek to transmit to the student the simple and effective technical and musical tools that will allow him to quickly be as autonomous as possible in his personal work outside of oboe lessons.
I also play during the lesson, in order to guide the student as well as possible, and sometimes also to have him play in a duet and develop listening and collective practice.
Teaching for ten consecutive years in conservatories, I have a very rich and solid experience of pedagogy.
I can also give lessons on the making of oboe reeds: assembly, the different styles of scratching, the choice of reeds, tools, etc.
This manual aspect, complementary to the practice of the oboe, also fascinates me a lot and I have acquired a great experience in this field during many years of practice.
(If you are a total beginner, I can help and guide you to find a good instrument for rent, at a fair and reasonable price, as well as to get the basic equipment, don't hesitate)

About Me
State-certified and experienced oboe teacher, passionate and dynamic. Teaching oboe in Parisian conservatories, I offer private oboe lessons!
Education
My journey :
I am a 31 year old professional oboist, living in Paris.
I began my musical studies with learning the oboe at the age of eight at the conservatory of Plaisir (78). Passionate about music and the oboe, I very quickly decided to become a professional musician and joined the Classes à Schedules Aménagées Musique (CHAM) at the Lycée Jean Racine in Paris at the age of fourteen. The same year, I was admitted by competition to the oboe classes of Jean-Claude Jaboulay and Michel Bénet (solo oboe of the Paris orchestra) at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris (CRR). Three years later I obtained my Diploma in Musical Studies (DEM in oboe) with honors. Wishing to perfect myself even more, I was admitted the following year at the age of nineteen to the Higher Center for Artistic Education Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB). After three years, I obtained my Higher National Diploma of Professional Musician (DNSPM / oboe license).
Throughout my years of study, I was lucky enough to be able to benefit from a complete, in-depth and demanding musical education in various disciplines: in oboe of course, but also in musical training / music theory, chamber music, orchestra , music history, musical analysis, writing, musicology, improvisation, etc.
Anxious to always continue to progress, I also perfected myself with many great oboists and pedagogues during several Academies / Masterclass: Maurice Bourgue (international solo oboe), Jacques Tys (solo oboe of the Paris Opera), Nora Cismondi ( solo oboe of the National Orchestra of France), Daniel Arrignon (solo oboe of the Paris Chamber Orchestra), Didier Costarini (solo oboe of the Republican Guard Orchestra), etc.

Experience / Qualifications
Teaching quickly became a vocation for me, so I took the oboe teacher training competition at the age of twenty and obtained my State Diploma (DE) as an oboe teacher. at the age of 23.
At the age of 21, I was appointed oboe teacher at the conservatory of Sartrouville (78) where I have been teaching oboe for ten consecutive years now.
I am also an oboe teacher at the Hector Berlioz Conservatory.
of the city of Paris since April 2023.
I also teach many students in private lessons (mainly at home, in Paris) with whom I have been working for several years now.
Teaching is an important part of my professional life, but I also collaborate regularly with many French and European orchestras (concerts, festivals, etc.).
