Tailor-made English Tutoring with a Native Speaker

I am a graduate in Language and Culture from University College London transferring to Paris to teach English at La Sorbonne. I will be available for tailor-made English tutoring or small-group conversation classes for all age groups during the 2019-2020 academic year. I have experience teaching English in Italy last summer, as well as some work experience teaching in primary and secondary schools. Please don't hesitate to get in touch!

About Me
I would love to be able to share the British culture with my students through relaxed conversation classes. However, I also have experience proofreading documents for a major French cosmetics brand so am at ease in teaching grammar and more formal sides of the language.

Experience / Qualifications
-Current English lectrice at La Sorbonne, coordinating and planning classes in comprehension, phonetics and conversation for first and second year students.
-I spent the summer of 2016 with a host family in Italy, teaching them English through relaxed conversation.
Mentoring:
- I was matched to a primary-school mentee whom I met with every week in order to help him practise and gain confidence in reading aloud.
-I was engaged in an outreach programme involving students taking languages at A Level. I was allocated mentees and I was able to help them to find out more about studying languages at University and also offer some subject-specific help.
-I acted as a mentor for a group of ten first-year students, meeting with them weekly and being available over social networks and over the phone to help them integrate into the social and academic life at University.
-I was promoted to Senior Mentor, overlooking a group of mentors and monitoring engagement with the mentoring programme.
