Hi, my name is Roy and I have been teaching English as a second language for the last 14 years. My lessons are primarily focused on conversation (I am ready to discuss any topic you like) and, therefore, more suitable for at least intermediate students, but I also teach small groups of students who are less advanced in English - adults as well as children. I try to make the lessons fun and interesting and suit the needs of every individual. My goal is to improve the confidence of students when using the language actively, especially talking to native speakers.

About Me
I come from Ireland, and like many of my fellow citizens, I love travelling. I lived in Australia, France, and finally, I settled in the Czech Republic, in the regional town of Pardubice, where I have been teaching English as a second language for the last 14 years.
I love helping students to improve their English knowledge, understand how practical and valuable English is in this world, and motivate them to learn more. After all, as the linguist Ludwig Wittgenstein once said, “The limits of your language are the limits of your world.”

Education
I have a business studies certificate from De La Salle College in Wicklow, Ireland.
I also underwent TEFL training in 1999.
Apart from English, I speak French fluently.
