Experience / Qualifications

Micheline has been playing the flute for over 15 years. She does this alone or together with others.

Together with Anne Van Melckebeke, Micheline forms the duo 'Le piano qui souffle'. The duo focuses mainly on playing light music to liven up festivities. The more classic chamber music work is also regularly offered.
Anne and Micheline play a few concerts together every year.
As a freelance flutist, Micheline is regularly asked to join various orchestras.

In addition to her career as a performing musician, Micheline is also an enthusiastic teacher.
Micheline is permanently attached to the Middle School in Ninove, where she has been teaching Musical and Plastic Education in the first and second year since 2015.

I really enjoy teaching and performing, and I have previous experience as a flute teacher back in Spain, so I would like to have some new students here in Ghent as well. I can also help you with other music stuff like theory, solfege and harmony if you want that. My music lessons are suitable for all level students, from begginers to advanced players, and we can work either in classical repertoire or in any other genre that you'd like (pop, irish, rock).

Lessons can take place face to face in my house or any other point inside of Ghent, or online from the comfort of your own room.

I have helped prepare students for Conservatoires and Drama Schools, as well as graded examinations, and stage shows.

My second discipline is the Flute, and I am delighted to share this wonderful instrument with my students. I teach beginners, intermediate and advanced pupils.

Hello everybody! I'm Maria, a graduate in flute performance at master's level. Besides loving to play my instrument, I have a passion for teaching music and flute. I have had experience with children who were starting studying music and flute, including those preparing for their entrance exam to an academy! I have also worked with more advanced students, deepening the improvement of their base and technique in playing the instrument to perfect it always with a very positive working environment!

If you want to start learning to play this instrument, I can be of great help to make your first steps easy and fun! We can learn how to read notes and rythms also, and create a good playing technique with exercises to practice not only in class but also at home.

If you are already a flute student and would like to receive extra support for your lessons at school, I will be happy to work with you to get the most out of the instrument and your musical skills. I love to deepen the student's technique to teach them to work in the most efficient way possible, providing individual study techniques for practicing alone.
