About Me

Hello! I’m an experienced language teacher who is currently studying a Life Sciences Bachelors degree at UCL.

I love working with people of all ages and empowering them to reach their goals.
When I was doing my IGCSEs and IB, I constantly compared myself to my classmates and worried that I was behind, so I understand the feeling.
But with some motivation and a little help you will be surprised with what you can achieve! I ended up getting 7A-A* in IGCSE and a 38/45 in IB!
I mainly teach languages; Spanish, German, English. I can also tutor language literature in Spanish and English. As mentioned, I am currently pursuing a degree in the Biosciences and Environment, and am more than happy to tutor Biology, Maths and Geography.
I will provide the material, but it will be useful to have some guidance on the course being taken (ie syllabus) or personal interests.
Some of my hobbies include language learning, dance, music, piano, painting and gym.

Experience / Qualifications

Taught students between the ages of 7 and 14, with interactive activities and adapted language lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary and understanding. Worked with a group of around 10 students once a week to transition them from pre-production to early production, strengthening their cultural understanding and confidence in speaking Spanish.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals.

My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience.
