I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. And after my 40 years old, I learned classical Arabic and Persian and started to study Islamic spirituality at the doctorate level. I taught English at Prep. school at Istanbul Technical University and Yeditepe University and am retired. Ever since I could remember I have been a teacher. Now I only teach Turkish privately and translate classical novels from English to Turkish. I translated 12 books from English to Turkish.

I teach Turkish that is tailored for each student. Each student is unique for me and I know that every student has her/his own way of learning.
If you are a beginner I give a short lecture about the history of Turkish and its characteristics and help you find your way in this very logical, consistent and elegant language. You understand that Turkish is different but that does not necessarily mean difficulty.

I use several books using a grammar-based approach integrated with communicative methods to boost the development of all language skills. But we always focus on TALK, TALK, TALK. Learning with dyslexia, ADHD, or any other learning difficulty can be frustrating. Especially when you are expected to study in the same way as everyone else, despite your brain just working differently. I know this from personal experience.

I am a law student with dyslexia and ADHD, and over the years I have developed practical strategies that have helped me study, stay organised, and succeed academically. I now want to share those tools with children, teenagers and adults who may be facing similar challenges.

For younger students, I can provide homework and study support, helping them understand how they learn best and how to use practical tools such as mind maps, flashcards, digital resources, structured study sessions and focus techniques. If they already have a diagnosis, I can also help them understand the accommodations and learning tools available to them at school and encourage them to become more confident in communicating their needs.

Just as importantly, I understand the frustration that can come from teachers, classmates or others misunderstanding dyslexia, ADHD as well as other learning difficulties. My aim is to create a supportive, judgement-free environment where students can ask questions, experiment with different study methods and build confidence in their abilities.
