Learn English as a second language or practice your skills. You can decide to use a textbook or free talk. Are you a beginner? No problem. We can start learning the basics. In my class, I integrate a variety of techniques to motivate and help my students understand the subject. I am aware that students are diverse, so I devise and utilize different methods to cater the individual needs of each learner. I know that each person is unique and learns differently. Because of that I expand the lesson and give supplementary activities that would allow the student to use his/her senses. I understand that engaging the student would help him feel more comfortable to learn. We might sing, crack jokes or do roleplaying activities depending on the lesson. For advance students, I ask thought-provoking questions. For beginners, I use different props such as realia, models, video clips, and pictures. I help enhance my students’ oral and written communication skills by correcting their pronunciation and grammar. I guide them to share their ideas by letting them express their thoughts into words. I encourage them to speak more even if they are not sure how to perfectly say it because it will give them a chance to practice their skills. I do my best to make the class enjoyable because I believe that we learn best when we are having fun.
