About Me
Hi! My name is Teacher Lhiz.
I bring energy, care, and a fresh perspective to every lesson. I used to work as a business coordinator, but my heart has always belonged to teaching. I love helping others learn in a way that feels fun and meaningful.
I’ve choreographed dance groups, performed at events, and I enjoy working with people of all ages. I’m also a proud fur-mama to five dogs! In my free time, I love cooking, hiking, and spending time in nature.
When it comes to my teaching style, I focus on a student-centered approach. I make sure children never feel bored, and I love adding a little fun or silliness when it fits the moment. For adult students, I aim to be more like a friend—someone you can learn with comfortably while reaching your goals.
Let’s enjoy learning Tagalog together through real conversations and topics that matter to you. I look forward to supporting your learning journey. 😊

Education
I have High field Diploma in TEFL Level -5. I completed a Hotel and Restaurant Services Certificate at Liceo de Pulilan Colleges in 2016. Furthermore, I also studied Korean language through a 100-hour program at the Korea-Philippines IT Training Center. These experiences helped shape my interest in communication, culture, and working with diverse people. I’m currently completing a 120-hour TEFL certification to grow as a tutor.
Experience / Qualifications
I’ve worked for over 10 years in customer-facing roles in retail and service industries, including as a team leader and store supervisor. I also managed my own business in the Philippines, where I trained staff and handled daily operations. Through this work, I developed strong communication, time management, and people skills.
Recently, I’ve begun helping others learn Tagalog, focusing on beginners who want to speak with family, travel to the Philippines, or explore a new culture. I’m currently taking a TEFL course to strengthen my teaching skills and support learners of all ages.
