About Me

Hi there and welcome! My name is Vladimir, and I'm here to make your journey in learning Russian easier and more enjoyable!

I live and work in Belgium, but I was born in the USSR, so I’m both a native speaker and a seasoned linguist. I hold a PhD in Slavic Studies and East European Studies, which I earned at KU Leuven in Belgium.

For many years, I’ve taught students at some of the most prestigious universities in Europe, and I’ve had the pleasure of working (and still do!) at my alma mater, KU Leuven, the Brussels Diplomatic Academy, and the College of Europe. But what I love most is teaching – seeing motivated students achieve their goals!

As a teacher who has helped hundreds of students since 2013, I taught at both the middle and high school levels and am familiar with the requirements of the baccalaureate exam, having been an examiner. I enjoy helping students understand what they hadn't grasped before by explaining it in a different way.

I'm used to working with neurodivergent students; they've always found their way to my ad, and we do good work together. Trained in ADHD and ASD, I just finished my bachelor's degree in psychology.
