Phonics is a powerful tool in early reading and writing, so knowing the sounds of individual letters and how those letters sound when they're combined will help children decode words as they read.

I will ensure that children are confident segmenting and blending CVC words, captions and sentences as well as helping them with spelling and writing. I can also provide support for phonics screening checks. This will help with their reading and also early comprehension.
