Mathematics and Physics, namely Classical Mechanics and Electricity
From 200 C$ /h
Semi-private classes for 3 to 4 students, or private, of Mathematics and Physics at pre-university level; (possibly also for students attending their first year at College.
Class Description
My classes help students pass their Swiss Federal Maturity exam to enter the Federal Polytechnic School (ZH and Lausanne, etc.) or the Faculty of Science.
Students train by practicing ancient exams in Mathematics and Physics.
My classes aim to activate scientific vocabulary, the main source of problems; I also invite students to represent their mathematical problem with a drawing.
My subjects:
Classical Mechanics
Electromagnetism
Algebra
Functions
Integrals
Derivatives, etc.
Remarks:
I tutored Mathematics and Physics from 1992 to around 2012 and I am now returning to such teaching using Webcam (Skype and screen sharing).

About Me
Originally from Neuchâtel (Switzerland) but born in the Netherlands, rather than referring to a Haute Ecole Polytechnique (where I never liked laboratory work) for my apprenticeship, I prefer to say that my father, who was a physicist, had taught me mathematics and physics since childhood, and that it was he who gave me the science virus (at a theoretical level).
From 1992 to 2012, I taught in the form of support courses in these two branches to pre-university gymnasium students in order to help them enter university. I had them practice old Maturity exams.
I also gave physics to first-year students at the Faculty of Biology, Pharmacy and Medicine, always in the form of support courses.
My survival therefore depended on the success of my students.
In principle, I offer between 5 to 10 semi-private lessons to 3 or 4 students at a pre-university level (whose age varies between 15 and 19 years old, or to adults resuming studies). Having observed that the main problem lies in the scientific vocabulary which is often not sufficiently 'activated', after these 10 lessons, the 3 or 4 students should be autonomous, and work in groups.
With the good hope that the student will be 'boosted' to become autonomous and aware of the need to work in groups to continue to activate the scientific vocabulary.

Education
Type C gymnasium
I prefer to mention the education I received from my physicist father rather than a university or polytechnic high school, this for a question of "scientific spirit".
