I offer one-to-one tutoring for IB Physics SL and HL, A-level and International A-level Physics. Lessons can focus on keeping up with school, rebuilding foundations, working through challenging topics or preparing for examinations.

We begin with your current course, recent work and carefully chosen questions to identify where you need support. My teaching connects a clear physical picture with the mathematics needed to solve a problem. Lessons combine explanation, worked examples and guided practice, followed by opportunities to tackle problems independently.

I am Wei, a physics tutor with around eight years of experience teaching international physics courses. My background includes postgraduate study at Imperial College London and research at King’s College London in computational and nanoscale physics. I use my own teaching notes and interactive demonstrations where helpful. Lessons are available in English or Mandarin.

In-person lessons in the Amsterdam area are held at the student’s home or in a mutually agreed meeting room, subject to availability. Meeting room hire is included. In-person lessons have a minimum duration of two hours. Lesson times are arranged by mutual agreement.

Hi! My name is Lex. I have been tutoring mathematics and physics for secondary school in Den Helder for 3.5 years. Since this year I am now a bachelor's student in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam, and I am looking for a few new students to guide for tutoring.

A few points that really set me apart from the rest are:

- my tutoring experience, I have been giving 3.5 years of tutoring experience at many different levels
- I work a lot less formally, this mainly ensures that the student is not afraid to ask questions or will feel "stupid"

Science is an incredible discipline, without limits, to the point where it is possible to get lost in it. This course therefore proposes to work on the bases and knowledge of Maths - Physics - Chemistry and to make the link with the use of these in the real world. Understanding where and how science is used is essential to be able to learn and move forward.
