GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics Tutoring + Revision Help
From 39 C$ /h
Hi, my name is Rosie and I am currently on a gap year before I start studying medicine in September 2021. I achieved three As in my A Level Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and did an EPQ on Immunotherapy, for which I received an A*.
As well as tutoring GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, I can also provide help on medical application queries and interview prep. (Three interview invites and two medical offers)
Revision is just as important as learning the subject so I will provide revision resources and advice on how to overcome issues such as exam stress and worrying about 'bad grades' because these are key in gaining the necessary confidence to succeed in the science subjects.
I will happily incorporate outside knowledge from A Levels and further reading in order to heighten your interest in each topic and explain the relevance of particular mechanisms in everyday life.

About Me
I am a hardworking and enthusiastic person who is committed to teaching GCSE Biology and Chemistry in a clear and concise manner. I have found that my dyslexia has caused me to experiment with lots of different revision methods throughout my education, this, however, means that I can advise students on different ways to learn the material in an enjoyable yet productive fashion.
Having received a guaranteed Medical place for September 2021, I am also confident in helping students with their medical/scientific applications if needed.
I have been told that I can teach particularly hard topics effectively and I like to use diagrams/drawing to explain things so the student can visualize the process.
Practicing is key to the learning process so I will regularly set questions and activities for the student to solidify their understanding.

Experience / Qualifications
I have taught various ages ranging from 4 to 18 in a variety of subjects.
During my GCSEs and A-Levels, revision sessions would be regularly organized with my friends, where I gained the necessary skills to be able
to teach difficult subjects in an easy-to-understand way. These revision sessions also helped me with time management and productivity. (Which can be overlooked when trying to revise with friends)
I also regularly answer science questions on The Student Room with positive feedback on my answers, such as 'Thank you for the help. I was feeling as if practice questions weren't helping me much and what you say makes perfect sense to me' which was a reply to me advising with biology revision methods. (Making sure you understand the content fully before trying practice questions is important, especially for A level Biology).
