About Me
Hello!
I am a qualified primary school teacher from London, England. I have been a teacher for over 10 years, working mainly in mainstream classrooms as well as a supply teacher, tutor and nanny. During my teaching years, I have worked mainly with the younger children supporting them with the knowledge and understanding of early reading, writing and numeracy skills. I am an extremely, kind, patient and enthusiastic teacher who likes to get to know each pupil to ensure I am able to meet their individual needs. I have now left mainstream teaching to teach children and adults online and have since gained a level 5 TEFL certificate to support the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language. I use a variety of strategies such as questioning, slides, visual resources and actions to help to improve knowledge and build your confidence.
I am teacher who loves travelling, exploring the outdoors and meeting new people from around the world. I am an extremely outgoing and adventurous person and like to try new activities. A few years ago, I went travelling for three years! During this time, I gained my adventurer badge in scuba diving, went sky diving and bungee jumping and even climbed a mountain that was over 6,000m high. I was lucky enough to visit over 15 countries and there are many more I would like to visit. Due to this experience, I now enjoy teaching online as I can meet a variety of people and support everyone, regardless of location.

Experience / Qualifications
Since a young age, I have always had a passion for working, supporting and helping others around me. At the age of 16, I joined college and gained a Diploma in Childcare and Education. During this period, I discovered I wanted to become a primary school teacher and later, I attended Roehampton University and gained a degree in Primary Education in 2011. Since then, I have taught primarily in the Early Years, teaching phonics through programmes such as Jolly Phonics and Bug Club and teaching Year 1 children. I have also taught in Year 4 and whilst working as a supply teacher, I have taught in all year groups so I am confident with the teaching and learning of not only the Early Years Foundation Stage but also the National Curriculum requirements.
Alongside my teaching, I have also tutored many children and adults on a weekly basis, whether this be to help conversational skills in English, support the understanding of early phonics or preparation for primary standardised testing such as SATS, timetables and phonics assessments. During this time, I have planned, delivered and assessed activities to support each pupils' requirements to enable them to reach their goals and fulfil their potential.
I have also worked as a nanny for many families, supporting the children with home learning, school drop off and planning and delivering engaging and fulfilling activities.
