The initial consultation will be with parents and the pupil and include an initial assessment to enable me to start to develop the pupils individual education plan. To work alongside interactive sessions, tasks will be set to support the pupils independent learning.

Teaching will take into account pupils individual learning styles, will be friendly, sensitive to individual needs and aim to increase confidence and self belief. The pupil will develop a set of mathematical tools to become an independent mathematician.

About Me

Hello, I have worked with young people who find mathematics difficult and challenging for the past 20 years.

My teaching style is to coach, to work with and develop skilss to face mathematical problems and challenges. I will not lecture you, it is a team approach and interactive.
You will use support materials, manipulatives, some bought, some you will make, that you can use time and time again.
Every lesson will be episodic, using short building blocks to get you to where you need to be. There will be games, play and online software to support you. I believe that maths can be fun and aim to make you feel the same.

Bachelor of Education (University of Plymouth) I achieved a second class Honours degree at the prestigious Rolle Campus based at Exmouth in Devon, UK. My early education took place at Chatham House Grammar School, Ramsgate, Kent (an institute that produced two prime ministers and many notable public figures).

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
