The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the mathematical description and laws of random phenomena and to provide a practical and modern approach. Probability requires a different way of thinking from other mathematics subjects: its difficulty lies not only in its abstraction but also in its unusualness and the fact that its conclusions are often counter-intuitive. It therefore plays an important role in developing flexible and problem-solving thinking and prepares for the modelling and computation of a very large number of random phenomena in the subjects and applications.

I started to tutor kids when I was 18 and continued it during my undergraduate and graduate years. As a PhD student I started to teach at the university. In the meanwhile I was a young researcher at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. I've been teaching at different universites for 10 years in english and in hungarian. Over the years I taught future math teachers, applied mathematicians, cognitive scientists, civil/electric/mechanical engineers. When I started to teach classes I was told what to teach (mostly Calculus/Analysis) now I am in charge of designing my own class which is Probability for Electric Engineers.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge.
