I feel at the moment due to uncertainty of local lockdowns that online tuition is the way forward even though I much prefer face to face especially with those that lack confidence. Online tuition means continuity, which is the best solution for everyone.
I am conscientious, hard-working, caring and enthusiastic individual who enjoys tutoring Mathematics and Science up to GCSE. Innovative and always looking for new methods to help pupils achieve their true potential.
For those sitting Mathematics in November this year, get in touch if there is any help I can give. I have 100% pass rate for resits.
My experience is over 30 years working with 11-16 year old children inspiring them to achieve their potential in mainly Maths but also Science. I have also tutored on a 1:1 basis Mathematics and Science at KS2, KS3, GCSE and IGCSE levels for the last 7 years.
One of my main strengths is my listening skills and ability to help solve problems. I believe in helping children to gain a love in learning. I am a very patient person who will endeavour to find a way so each pupil understands the topic and never put the pupil under pressure. I think that at the moment a lot of children need their confidence building in order for them to realise how good they are in their subjects and this is an area I work on along side the actual academic work.
Having children who have gone through the education system I have seen things from the side of a parent as well as a teacher. This has helped me develop my tutoring skills more by trying to make every child believe in their own ability and achieving or exceeding that is something to celebrate.
I also have experience in teaching pupils with mild to moderate dyslexia. Some of the children I have taught have had other educational needs and I always try to help them find the best method to learn for them.
