About Me

I ask students what areas they find most difficult, and aim to better their understanding of these topics to the best of my ability.
Although I may have a lack of age and experience, I believe this to be to my advantage. I know where teachers go wrong teaching Maths in schools (having only left fairly recently) and will be able to explain concepts better than someone from an older demographic.
My experience in ski instructing has provided me with good social and communication skills as well as being able to identify any faults and working to improve these in a fun, effeicient way.

Education

Currently studying Bsc Maths at Glasgow University.
Achieved A* in National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths.
Best grades in Maths at Bearsden Academy from 4th to 6th year.

Experience / Qualifications

Have tutored three students already. All were failing National 5 Maths, by the end of the year they had achieved passes - at least C level.
BASI level 2 ski instructor.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.

I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL).

Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. It is a true pleasure to see them progress and rediscover their connection with the fascinating world of mathematics.

I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter.

If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)

Hello and welcome! 👋

Is your child struggling with math, lacking confidence, or simply looking to consolidate their knowledge? I offer online private math tutoring tailored to elementary, middle, and high school students.

🎯 Each lesson is personalized according to the student's level, difficulties, and objectives. My goal is not only to find the right answer, but above all to enable them to understand the method and gradually become independent.

During the sessions, we can work on:

understanding the course;
school homework and exercises;
the difficulties encountered in class;
mental arithmetic and the essential basics;
fractions, decimal numbers and percentages;
geometry;
algebra and equations;
proportionality and the problems;
preparation for tests and exams;
upgrading and consolidating acquired skills.

📚 My method: understand → practice → correct → progress

I use simple explanations, concrete examples, and exercises of increasing difficulty. When the student makes a mistake, we work together to understand why so that they don't repeat it.

For younger children, I can also offer more playful exercises tailored to their interests, in order to maintain their attention and motivation.

Struggling with math, physics, or chemistry? You're not alone — these subjects are hard, and classroom explanations are rarely enough.
I offer personalized tutoring for middle school, high school, and early university students following the French Mission curriculum, the Moroccan national curriculum, or the international baccalaureate.
Topics covered:

Mathematics: algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, probability
Physics: mechanics, electricity, optics, thermodynamics
Chemistry: organic, inorganic, stoichiometry, reactions

My approach:
I don't re-explain the textbook — I identify exactly where your understanding breaks down and fix it from there. Each session is built around your specific difficulties, not a preset program.
I completed CPGE (Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles) in Mathematics and Physics before graduating as a State Engineer — I know these subjects at an advanced level and I know where students typically get lost.
Individual and small group sessions available. Online (worldwide) in French, Arabic, or English.

As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!

We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.

The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:

1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.

2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.

3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.

4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.

I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.

In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.
