About Me

Hi! My names Shona and i’m currently completing a bachelors degree at university.
Tutoring was an obvious part time commitment for me as i have benefited from it greatly in subjects i struggled with at school.
I’ve learned that it takes one teacher to get a student to commit and enjoy a subject with the right encouragement.
All I ask in a student is that they want to learn, that is the first step to achieving their goals.
My teaching style is to teach by example, first I will work through a question explaining what I am doing, then I will assist a student in solving it and finally ask them to complete it on their own to make sure they have fully grasped the concept.
I find this really helps as if you can complete one question alone, the others will come with ease.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
