Mathematics & Physics Tutoring by a Theoretical Physics Researcher (Sorbonne, Munich, ETH Zürich)
From 99.91 C$ /h
Mathematics and physics are not subjects you survive but languages you learn to think in, and my role is to make you fluent.
I am a theoretical physics researcher and student trained at Lycée Hoche, Sorbonne University, and the Technical University of Munich (top european universities), and this autumn I join ETH Zürich (first university in Europe and Asia) for research connected to the European Space Agency and NASA's PLATO mission. My work on planetary spectroscopy at the CNRS Paris Observatory has been published in an international scientific journal. That is the level of rigor and expertise I bring to every session.
My method is precise: I first locate the exact point where your understanding fractures, which is rarely where you expect it to be. We then rebuild from first principles, so that everything you learn afterward feels inevitable rather than arbitrary. Between sessions, you receive exercise sheets built around your specific gaps, with complete worked solutions to help you progress even more.
I work with ambitious students, from middle/high school to undergraduate level, who want true mastery. If that is you, let us begin !

About Me
My name is Louis, and I am a student and researcher in theoretical physics. I discovered physics at Lycée Hoche, one of France's most selective preparatory schools, and that fascination has carried me all the way into research.
What I love most about teaching is the moment a concept stops feeling hostile and suddenly becomes obvious. I teach calmly, patiently, and without judgment, because I know exactly what it feels like to be stuck on an idea, and I know the quiet joy of finally seeing it click.
I am not the kind of tutor who recites a textbook. My approach is precise. I first find the exact point where a student's understanding breaks, which is rarely where they expect it to be. A difficulty in physics often comes from a notion in mathematics left unclear several chapters earlier. We go back to the root, repair it together, and the rest unlocks on its own. We then rebuild every concept from first principles, so that nothing feels arbitrary. Between sessions, students receive exercise sheets built around their specific weak points, with fully worked solutions.
I enjoy working with ambitious and curious students, from middle and high school through university level. Whether you are unblocking a difficulty, preparing for a competitive exam, or simply chasing a deeper understanding, I bring the same rigor I apply to my own research to every single lesson. My goal is simple: that you progress, and that you rediscover the pleasure of understanding.

Research intern at the CNRS Paris Observatory, where my work on planetary surface spectroscopy, conducted for a space mission to the moons of Mars, led to my first publication in an international peer reviewed scientific journal.
Research intern at the Technical University of Munich, working on superconducting qubits and semiconductor nanostructures, the building blocks of future quantum computers.
Several years of experience helping students in mathematics and physics, from high school to advanced university level, including quantum mechanics, statistical physics, quantum field theory, and astrophysics.
