Many students struggle with maths because they fail to grasp some small point and loose confidence from then onwards. As a highly qualified and experienced teacher, having taught from age 6 to A Level and also having experience of exam marking and question setting, and having contributed to some published resources, I am uniquely placed to help with understanding and also with applying the understanding in an exam context. Not all students learn in the same way so one-to-one personalised content can be very beneficial, both to understanding and to exam success.

About Me

I have always had a passion for science and maths and love helping students to understand the concepts. After a short time in industry, I have spent the rest of my career teaching. Unusually I have taught from age 6 to A Level, boys, girls and mixed classes in a wide variety of types of school, which gives me a wide and deep appreciation of the whole learning process. Students learn in very different ways and a one-to-one tutorial can be very beneficial in resolving problems of understanding for which there is not time in a normal class. My experience as an examiner and question setter also enable me to help students to apply their knowledge in an exam context to enhance success.

4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.

I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.

In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.

The courses of Mathematics - Analysis - Matrices - Statistics - Algebra - Geometry - Physics - Mechanics - Electricity - Chemistry - Organic Chemistry - Biology, Geology of the French or European French or English programs (Secondary or university levels) are given by explanations either in depth or by a rapid course and summary of essential need according to the case of each student supported by exercises from the book or by evaluations and exams from other high schools.
