About Me
Hi, I'm Lewi, a resourceful and organized Math instructor with 11 years of teaching math courses to middle school and first year junior high school students. A dedicated Math tutor with more than 7 years of experience working in both home and academic settings (Philippines). Committed to inspiring a love of mathematics in young people by imparting knowledge, providing effective strategies, promoting critical thinking, and assisting them reach their goals. Recognized for being responsible, accountable, and creating a positive work environment. Proficient in task management, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing student progress.
My achievements include Microsoft Innovative Educator certification and successfully passing both the Licensure Examination for Teachers and the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination. In addition to this, I coached a Grade 7 kid who won the Math Champion title in a MathScore Competition.
I live by this this quotation of Aristotle, "WE ARE WHAT WE REPEATEDLY DO. EXCELLENCE, THEREFORE, IS NOT AN ACT BUT A HABIT", which has been my guiding principle both as a student and as a teacher. Every school year and the start of my tutorials, I use this to remind my students and tutees that they can achieve their goals with patience, perseverance, and optimism. They should not be afraid to commit mistakes, instead, to learn from it to keep striving to do and be better.
