Key Stage Two SATs can be a stressful and daunting experience for children who are in or approaching year 6, particularly when they have spent much of the last two years out of the classroom. I am here to help them feel prepared and practice skills to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching the year 6 curriculum and can help your child in any of the key areas. As their first formal tests, it is important that children are able to view SATs as a positive learning experience and can approach the tests feeling calm and confident. This can be achieved by combining methods and content with exam skills to help them tackle these tests.

About Me
I am a trained primary school teacher with in school experience teaching in both year 6 and year 2 classes preparing children for SATs. Working with children brings me so much joy and I think it is essential that they are able to develop a love for learning that is not hampered by the pressure of formal testing. Learning should always be a fun experience full of questioning, exploration, creativity and play which is what I aim to bring to all of my lessons. By working one to one with children, I am able to truly tailor the learning to their needs and interests while also expanding my knowledge for teaching and getting to know so many wonderful students.
While teaching online during the pandemic, I have developed my ability to deliver fun and engaging classes to children individually and in groups to help them progress their skills and find support and enjoyment in their learning. I have a full DBS check for working with children between 4-11 and 5 years of experience working in schools to the National Curriculum.
