I teach Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) and Additional Mathematics (0606) online for students in Malaysia, from Year 7 foundations up to exam year.

My focus is the working, not just the final answer. Most students who lose marks in IGCSE maths do not have a topic problem. They have one or two weak steps that break under exam pressure: algebra control, sign handling, or choosing the first move in a multi-step question. I find that step, fix it, then drill the method until it holds without prompting.

Lessons run live on Zoom, with Google Classroom for worksheets, materials, and recordings where applicable. Homework is assigned weekly and reviewed in the next lesson. Parents get honest updates on what is secure and what still breaks.

I have been teaching mathematics and additional mathematics since 2018 to IGCSE, SPM, and UEC students, including at a homeschooling centre where students work at very different paces. I am also familiar with the Singapore syllabus at primary and secondary levels.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I teach one-to-one Maths and Physics to GCSE, A-Level and university students, online and in person around Birmingham.

I hold an MSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Chester, where I now teach and assess postgraduate students as a visiting lecturer. Alongside that I've been tutoring privately for several years, across GCSE, A-Level and first-year university modules. I've published two international conference papers, so the maths I teach isn't something I learned once and repeat from a textbook. I use it.

How I teach:

Every student starts in a different place, so the first thing I do is find out what they actually understand rather than what the syllabus assumes they should. From there I break difficult ideas into small steps, work through plenty of examples, and set focused practice between sessions.

I care more about a student knowing why a method works than memorising the steps, because understanding is what survives exam pressure when a question is worded unfamiliarly. Lessons are structured but relaxed. Students should feel comfortable asking the questions they think are silly, because those are usually the ones that matter most.

I'm patient with mistakes and honest about what still needs work. If a student isn't ready for a topic, I'll say so and we'll go back a step rather than pretend otherwise.

Term has just started, which is the best point in the year to build a routine before mocks in November and December. If your child is beginning Year 11 or Year 13, or retaking GCSE Maths this November, putting support in place now makes a real difference by the time the real papers arrive.

English language has become more than just a language. It is a presumed matter of modern culture and a basic tool for - everything. I am offering this language part, as a person who was born in UK, with a tone of clear and precise standard British accent (Received pronunciation, King'sEnglish, Oxford English) and with a sound of British culture and history. I act therefore as an accent coach as well along with teaching grammar and conversation practice.
Since I am a Croat (and have spoken both Croatian and English since birth) I offer Croatian language classes as well and up to the very same high standards (grammar explanations, conversation practice and the standard accent guidance). So I speak Croatian using the language standard accent as spoken in the State official informing services, Universities and Institutions.
Maths is the third subject I can help you with and which I deal with (as an Architect I have studied Maths as well). There are three things I'd like to say... - Maths is a game, using brain gymnastics, a responsible discipline applied everywhere, universaly used and one of the most important ones, but still a game and with similar joy it keeps inside of itself released when one is winning or solvng a Maths problem... - the most beautiful and elegant and almost always the shortest, as so, solution is - the best one - and that is both for what I mostly seek for and teach for regarding Maths.. - and third but not less important is a message - Maths is actually more simple than one, who fears, often thinks it to be !
