IGCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics (P1, P3, Statistics, Mechanics)
From 24.99 C$ /h
Mathematics at IGCSE and A-Level is about entering a world of structured thought, where abstract ideas come together to solve concrete problems. The course is designed with the aim of achieving fluency in the Mathematical language and logic, thus guiding students from foundational techniques to advanced applications. The course will be helpful in preparation for exams or in deepening your understanding; the emphases here are clarity, confidence, and the ability to reason through complexity with precision.
This course will cover most of the integral concepts from algebra to geometry, statistics, and probability through engaging lessons, practical examples, and exam-focused strategies. No matter the topic, each concept is explained with immense clarity and purpose.
By the end of this course, students will:
- Develop strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Learn key mathematical techniques and formulae
- Approach exam questions with confidence and strategy
This course will help learners to consolidate their Mathematics knowledge and give them confidence in applying it successfully in examinations and thereafter. To IGCSE learners, this means the laying of a good foundation that is supportive of success in current studies and that prepares students for higher-level courses. To A-Level students, it means refining analytical skills and reaching such a depth of understanding as is necessary for higher education study and for careers for which logical reasoning and quantitative analysis are demanded.

About Me
I am a Malaysian student currently studying at the University of York pursuing an Actuarial Science degree and have completed my A-Levels in 2025 with an A in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. As a student, I believe I can relate to pupils who reach out, as their struggles won't be too foreign with what I would have had faced. This gives me a keen insight on exactly how to tackle problems in a way that caters to their understanding.
I give individual lessons tailored to the students' needs. During the first lesson, I conduct a comprehensive assessment of the students' understanding in mathematics to pinpoint areas of difficulty and, more importantly, to reveal its causes. This helps me to adapt the lessons to the particular needs of each student. Further classes concentrate on concept understanding through carefully itemized breakdowns according to the syllabus at hand, which will always be adjustable to meet the needs of the students to adjust to their pace and requests.
Throughout my studies, through observation and experience, I have picked up several techniques aimed at making mathematics more approachable. What distinguishes my style of teaching is the ability to simplify complex concepts and explain them clearly and concisely in a manner that is easily understandable by students. I find it a truly enriching experience because it gives me the opportunity to work with learners for whom math has been discouraging or disengaging, by helping them rediscover confidence and success in that subject. It's satisfying to see students grow and come to love the world of mathematics.
My lessons are conducted purely online via Zoom, but other platforms are also welcomed if the student so desires. I can assure students that my online tutoring is quite as effective as a face-to-face lesson would be. The student just needs an internet connection, a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take part.

Experience / Qualifications
Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, my strength lies in how I connect with students who feel overwhelmed by Mathematics. I focus on understanding how they think through problems and then guide them toward clearer reasoning, step by step. As I've recently navigated these same challenges myself, I can explain concepts in a way that feels relatable rather than abstract. What motivates me most is seeing a student shift from frustration to confidence, and knowing that I've helped them discover that math can be manageable—and even enjoyable.
