About Me
I am a theoretical and mathematical physicist and a university educator based in Mainz, Germany. I hold an MSc in Mathematical Physics from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where my thesis concerned compactifications of Type II supergravities on manifolds of Spin(7) holonomy, and I am a prospective PhD candidate in Quantum Gravity at JGU Mainz.
I have taught at university level since 2018 across the German, US, and Indian education systems. I am currently Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC Europe), where I am the sole instructor of record for undergraduate Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Astronomy, teaching in hybrid and online formats. Alongside this, I have spent three years leading tutorials at JGU Mainz across the complete theoretical physics curriculum — Mathematical Methods, Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Advanced Quantum Mechanics, and Quantum Field Theory — marking weekly problem sheets and giving detailed individual feedback to Bachelor's and Master's students.
My teaching is rigorous, patient, and built on first principles: I care that a student understands why a method works, not merely how to reproduce it. I particularly enjoy working with students who find physics or mathematics difficult, abstract, or intimidating — building genuine conceptual understanding rather than formula memorisation — and I have consistently received excellent student evaluations for clarity, patience, and making mathematically demanding material genuinely intuitive.

Experience / Qualifications
I have taught physics and mathematics in university settings since 2018, across the German, US, and Indian systems.
At the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC Europe), Wiesbaden, I currently serve as Adjunct Faculty in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Astronomy (Sep 2024 – present). I am the instructor for undergraduate courses, with full responsibility for lectures, problem sessions, and one-to-one academic support, and I author all course examinations and assessments myself, teaching hybrid and online to adult learners with widely varying mathematical backgrounds.
At Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, I worked as a University Teaching Assistant in the Institute of Physics for three consecutive years (Apr 2023 – Apr 2026), leading weekly tutorials across seven courses spanning the entire theoretical physics core: Mathematical Methods, Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Advanced Quantum Mechanics, and Quantum Field Theory. I contributed to writing the weekly exercise sheets and examinations as well as marking them, gave detailed written feedback, held office hours, and supported students from Bachelor's through Master's level, receiving consistently excellent student evaluations.
Earlier, as Special Faculty at Assam Don Bosco University (Oct 2021 – Mar 2022), I coached graduates for India's most competitive national physics entrance examinations — IIT-JAM, JEST, and UGC-CSIR NET — authoring original exam-style problems, timed mock tests, and strategy modules; I successfully navigated this pathway myself as an IIT-JAM qualifier. Before that, as Guest Faculty at Jagannath Jain College, Vinoba Bhave University (Jun 2018 – May 2019), I taught full undergraduate physics lecture courses and set the examinations and exercise material.
Across all these roles, my core strength is the same: diagnosing exactly where a student's reasoning breaks down and rebuilding the subject from first principles.
