Education
I have my associates degree in early childhood education which I receivedin 2004. I had my teaching certificate in elementary education but I accidentally let it lapse.
Experience / Qualifications
I have about 4 years private tutoring experience. I have worked in the public school system for a short period of time as a paraprofessional as well as a teacher. I also worked for a company that pulled out students for reading and math intervention for grades k-7. I also have some experience teaching children with ADHD/ ASD.

1. Activity: Observing your own self-talk ( 6 scenario type questions)
2. Story:" Choosing your own BFF (Best Friend Forever)" by Renaye Thornborrow- This story has animal characters that explain what self-talk is by using examples and other information.
3. Activity: Let's Talk- Discussion questions about the story.
4. Powerpoint- Notes and tips about self-talk that explains the next two activities.
5. Activity: Power-shifting negative self-talk- Different scenarios that has a negative self-talk response and you turn it into a positive response.
6. Activity: Mirror Mantra- Make up your own mirror mantra to help you with positive self-talk. I will provide an explanation what it is and give examples.
