About Me
I have recently graduated Durham university with a 2:1 in Maths and Biology; two subjects which I am very passionate about due to the challenge they provide. I am in my first year of a Neuroscience Master's and King's College London, and have been tutoring for 3 years.
Taking exams at school was a daunting experience for me but was made so much easier by the incredible help I received from my teachers and peers along the way. Hence I can fully appreciate how a second perspective, which I hope to provide, can help certain topics click.
Practice questions and past papers are the best way of understanding a topic whilst also tailoring the knowledge to suit specific exam board styles. Hence my tutorials will mainly be based around going through specific questions on a paper, and then conferring with the mark schemes to get a real idea on what needs to be said to get every mark available, as there is a difference between knowing a topic and being able to apply that knowledge to get the grade. If the student has particular difficulty with a certain topic then the tutorial will consist of a general recap of the important concepts of that topic, making any notes needed. I am happy to set homeworks if required, and help come up with easy ways to remember important information.
