I am a physical Natural Sciences student at Cambridge looking to share my love of science with intellectually curious students. I seek to make science fun and accessible for my students. Having achieved outstanding results at GCSE (12 grade 9s) and A-level (4A* 1A), I know what it takes to prepare for public exams and I want to help my students to get a headstart with their preparation. I teach maths, chemsitry and physics to students of all ability levels.

My lessons are individually tailored but follow the general strucutre below:

GCSE/IGCSE:
Lessons are primarily content/revision focused. Homework follows closely the content of the lessons and I provide further reivision resources and notes after each lesson.

A-level and University preparation:
I assign problem sets for homework due 5pm the night before a lesson. My lessons in physics and chemistry focus on making the content intuitive, so students are understanding rather than memorising. Similarly, maths lessons are taught always from first principles to help students to understand the origins of the techniques we use. The beginning of each lesson is for review of questions from the problem set. These problem sets contain questions from the relevant exam board as well as extension questions to encourage students to think in more depth about the topics we cover. Homework is always marked in advance of the upcoming lesson.

Every few weeks I ask my students to sit a test tailored to their examboard so that we can track the progress we are making.
This class is intended to deliver academic results, whilst ensuring students enjoy my lessons.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Python is one of the best, if not the best, language to start learning programming. It is also one of the most widely used languages today, especially in cutting-edge areas such as machine learning.

This popularity means that Python is constantly evolving. It offers a wide range of tools and libraries, which are free and very varied.

As an aeronautical engineer, I like to share my knowledge and derive satisfaction from it by teaching and motivating others.

I'm used to working with people of different ages. I believe in the importance of segmenting learning, visualizing progress, setting concrete goals and practicing regularly.

How lessons work

Send me your module handbook, assignment brief, thesis spec or the code that will not run, and I plan the session around it before we meet. Nothing generic.

In the lesson I explain the concept with a worked example, then you take the keyboard while I watch and correct, because you learn far more doing it than watching me do it. You finish with annotated notes and a clear next step, and you can message me between sessions with questions.

Practical details

Online over Google Meet or Zoom with screen sharing and a shared whiteboard. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes. I am based in the UK and teach across GMT and Central European time, with evening and weekend slots that suit students anywhere in Europe.

English language has become more than just a language. It is a presumed matter of modern culture and a basic tool for - everything. I am offering this language part, as a person who was born in UK, with a tone of clear and precise standard British accent (Received pronunciation, King'sEnglish, Oxford English) and with a sound of British culture and history. I act therefore as an accent coach as well along with teaching grammar and conversation practice.
Since I am a Croat (and have spoken both Croatian and English since birth) I offer Croatian language classes as well and up to the very same high standards (grammar explanations, conversation practice and the standard accent guidance). So I speak Croatian using the language standard accent as spoken in the State official informing services, Universities and Institutions.
Maths is the third subject I can help you with and which I deal with (as an Architect I have studied Maths as well). There are three things I'd like to say... - Maths is a game, using brain gymnastics, a responsible discipline applied everywhere, universaly used and one of the most important ones, but still a game and with similar joy it keeps inside of itself released when one is winning or solvng a Maths problem... - the most beautiful and elegant and almost always the shortest, as so, solution is - the best one - and that is both for what I mostly seek for and teach for regarding Maths.. - and third but not less important is a message - Maths is actually more simple than one, who fears, often thinks it to be ! Along with being an optimist the best way to be free of fear is - to start learning on time and being regular with it.
