Language is what distinguishes us from other life forms. It is through Language that we are able to learn and communicate. In today's world, the importance of English Language cannot be denied. To be proficient in it is almost crucial for success.

The aim of this class is to enable the student to achieve at least c1 level of English language. When done intelligently and diligently, it doesn't take more than a few months to reach c1 or advanced level of language.

This course deals with all the four Reading/Writing, Listening/Speaking modules; but special emphasis would be placed on writing as this is the one most neglected skill that weighs the most in actual academic and work scale.

We will also be relying heavily on works of Literature during this course.

Extra information

A laptop is required since it's an online class.

Adobe or some other reliable pdf reader would also be required for the texts that are provided.

Microsoft Powerpoint is a good optional installation for the slides that may be provided.

About Me

Hello Dear Students!

This is indeed my first experience of teaching online. Before coming to teach on this amazing platform, I taught in University of Karachi, where I taught courses that ranged from English Literature courses to courses in Language and Writing.

Teaching at University level has made me more comfortable to teach the age groups that vary from 17-50+.

Since half the teaching is socialization. I am friendly with my students and allow them to choose texts from the prescribed course to suit their interests, and making them more involved into the course. I encourage my students to write about topics that match their areas of interest, it not only polishes their style but also helps me identify their weak areas which we could later on work upon.
