I have one year's experience teaching in a secondary school in Madrid, as well as a year's experience teaching private lessons to four primary-school-aged children. I also have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate.

* Working in Madrid for the British Council teaching local students in Spanish for one academic year, all the while improving my own spoken Spanish.
* All of my students passed their exams in English language and literature with the equivalent to a grade B or higher
* All but one of my students passed their exams in History and Geography with the equivalent to a grade C or higher
* Identifying, and developing, skills necessary for my students to compete in a debating competition in their second language
* My people skills were developed intensely as I nurtured relationships with many of my students and fellow teachers, with whom I still regularly contact.

* Based on current events, creating debating classes focusing on topics that will appeal to young students, aged 11-18 to encourage the speaking of English in the classroom.
