Modern languages, English (as a first or foreign language), French and German
From 49.98 C$ /h
Learning modern languages is good way to engage the mind, and learn more about the culture and society of other countries. When you are learning a language, you also increase the knowledge and understanding you have of your own language.
Classes are based on starting with what you already know, and increasing that knowledge based on why you are learning a language. Depending on your age and level, authentic materials are also used, to prepare you for real-life situations.

About Me
My career in teaching began with teaching English as an additional or foreign language, in Vienna, Austria. The approach was child-led, and focused on their interests, such as horses, dinosaurs, flowers and castles.
Living in Austria helped me to practise speaking German, and understand the challenges people have when moving to a different country.
In England, I have been a home-tutor since 2000. I find out what the students are studying, how they like to study, and how to help them achieve their goals.

Before doing a teacher training course, potential students can work as assistants, and supplement their experience with learning more about the theories of education. Understanding key terms and concepts can help them to understand the different teaching and learning styles they experience at work.
