Learn French with children's literature
From 33.29 C$ /h
Welcome everyone! My goal: to make learning French fun, enriching and accessible to everyone.
I have set up an attractive and fun teaching method, specially designed to support young people and adults who encounter difficulties, particularly in French. Whether you are illiterate or experiencing academic difficulties, I am here to support you with my skills and experience.
I take a specific approach to help those who have difficulty expressing themselves correctly in French, whether written or spoken. Because French is much more than a language: it is a key that opens you to the world!
Here is a testimonial: 'Teacher in UPE2A at the Jean Jaurès school, my system welcomes allophone students of all ages and nationalities.
Françoise spoke to a group of six students aged seven to twelve, of Tamil and Egyptian origin.
These interventions have enabled:
- To develop a quality of listening, of attention to writing
- To develop memory
- To develop understanding of texts read in the form of fun exercises (depending on the children's abilities and their progress in acquiring French).
- To develop, through exercises such as crosswords associating an image with a word, a reading and writing of French adapted to their difficulty.
- To understand different cultures, different ways of living. This notion is all the more interesting for students from different nationalities.
The advantage of these interventions lies in the fact that they are multidisciplinary exercises that involve the child as an actor in relation to what is proposed to him. He is not passive.
As a teacher, it is useful to note that students need a situation (conditioning, comparison with their culture) to be attentive when reading the story.
It is imperative to make them participate actively with fun and varied exercises so as not to create boredom, and to assess the acquisition of the concepts covered, which she succeeded brilliantly.'
The main interest lies above all in the pleasure of reading stories, of taking hold of them to bring a feeling of success in discovering the French language and its vocabulary.
Join me on Apprentus to make the French language not only a skill, but a joy to share. I look forward to meeting you to help the French language grow together.
See you soon !

About Me
When I retired, I felt interested in writing stories for children, and as I got into this theme, I realized how much children's literature was a pivot for children, especially those with reading and writing difficulties. My first story is called 'The Adventure of Voilier Bleu', in which I introduce marine animals, with songs adapted to the chapters. It is with this album that I developed a way of teaching French for children in primary school. And with short stories written about travel, I adapted this method to young pre-teens, always with the same playful approach that gives them a taste for reading and writing.
Through children's literature, I offer teaching that develops the child's skills, promotes oral and written comprehension of French, but also facilitates cultural and artistic awakening. I provide an attractive way of learning based on original content (today's tales, children's literature), varied exercises, multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank texts, crosswords... Everything is focused on the pleasure of listening to tales, stories, learning differently, and indirectly on understanding life.
Through the children's album 'l'Aventure de Voilier Bleu', an unpublished tale, but also 9 short stories about the journey, I address the fundamentals proposed by the National Education system adapted to learning the French language for students who have recently arrived in France or who are experiencing academic or social difficulties.
As they say, everything starts in primary school, and the programs applied in schools are not enough to motivate students who have difficulty reading and writing.
So if your child is struggling, has lost all motivation to study our beautiful language, my pleasure is to offer my help to transmit the taste for reading and writing to young people who do not know how accessible literature is to all. The story is a tool that allows to revalue self-esteem. For me, the story is a SUPPORT that facilitates the learning of oral language and reading. And through what I have set up, it brings mastery of the French language, active listening, and allows to express oneself correctly.
My teaching is aimed at children/adolescents with learning difficulties, and acts to prevent illiteracy.
At the beginning, I suggest getting to know each other, and I introduce chapter 1 of the album Voilier Bleu or a short story about travel for teenagers.
If there are any questions, I answer by explaining exercises that we will do together, and that he will do alone afterwards.
There will also be the discovery of the Alphabet with oral and written exercises, phonetics – explanatory video
The first name
Vowels and consonants – explanatory video
Nasal vowels, double consonants – explanatory video
Syllables – explanatory video
Do not hesitate to contact me so that we can get to know each other, and allow me to adapt my methodology to the level of your child, your young person.
