About Me

My name is Sarah and I currently attend the London School of Economics. I attended North London Collegiate school from 2006-2020, achieving 10 A* and 1 A during my IGCSEs and then 40/45 in the International Baccalaureate.

Teaching others has been an integral part of my experience in education. From a young age, enabling students to realise their potential has always come naturally to me. At school, I would organise and run extra tuition classes for my peers, translating challenging concepts in English and History into a digestible manner for exams. This naturally developed into tutoring following my own IGCSE results, assisting students with Common Entrance exams for a variety of independent schools.

Facilitating a student’s ability to tackle difficult syllabuses, empowering them to write fluidly and precisely, whilst establishing a love of their subject in them, and instilling confidence in their ability relies on the tutor's capacity to identify the individual's preferred learning style. My teaching philosophy thus begins with developing a strong relationship with the tutee, identifying the key issues they face and their most effective learning methods, and then adjusting the pace of information and my teaching methods accordingly.
