About Me

I am a 17 year old A-level student who has been tutoring for 4 years. I initially began tutoring Ks1 students, however once I began A-levels i shifted to teaching English Literature to G.C.S.E students. I believe being a tutor is all about having compassion, confidence and good communication skills. Ensuring the students I am working with are understanding the content is essential, which is why I teach using three steps. These are learning, practice and reflection. During my hour long sessions I will go through the analysis with the student and make sure to ask questions throughout. I will then set a question based on what the student has learned which is a form of practice. We will then go over exemplary answers and reflect on what improvements can be made to ensure the student is reaching the top band.
