The aim of the class is to improve your English in 3 key areas. Reading for meaning, Writing and grammar.
Class levels and content are adjusted to suit the needs and wants of each student. Let me know which areas you wish to improve in and I will ensure the lesson is focused on those areas. I will also evaluate student skills and flag weakness areas that I feel the student needs to improve in.

About Me
I have been teaching for 15 years both in public English schools and private grammar schools in the UK and abroad. I was head of EAL and EAL curriculum coordinator at a private school in Cyprus where I helped develop the language skills of students as well as helped them achieve the GCSE and A level grades to get into the universities of their choice.
I have an outline of objectives I wish to accomplish every lesson and I plan my lessons around those set of objectives. An objective, for example, can be 'Understanding and using metaphors correctly'. I will then begin by explaining what a metaphor is and going over examples. Then I would ask the student to do a worksheet or exercise to consolidate that understanding. We would then go over the student's answers and I would explain any errors or questions. The next step would be for the student to identify metaphors through reading a short passage. Once I was certain that the student knows and understands what a metaphor is I would then ask the student to try and write their own metaphors. For homework the student would have to do a combination of a worksheet and writing their own examples of metaphors.
