In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is entirely on natural discussion centered on books, writing, and cinema. We will chat about character psychology, narrative themes, and storylines. We can even read and analyze short book excerpts or script pieces together, depending on what makes your heart beat faster.

It’s all about having fun with the language, not seeing it as a looming cloud over your head. Yes, I will correct your mistakes, but the main idea is for us to just immerse ourselves in the beauty that is the English language and enjoy our time there.

This is an open, friendly space for anyone who wants to build real-world speaking confidence, expand their vocabulary, and share their enthusiasm for books and movies.

MULTILINGUAL LISTENING SUPPORT:
To make your lessons completely stress-free, you are welcome to use your native language whenever you get stuck. I have a strong passive understanding (listening and reading) of several languages, which means I can easily understand you if you speak or write in:

•English (Fluent - MA Degree)
•Serbian (Native)
•Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese & German (Listening & Reading comprehension)

Note: While I mostly understand these languages when you use them, our actual conversation and explanations will be conducted in English or Serbian.

TECHNICAL DETAILS FOR ONLINE LESSONS:
I conduct my lessons via Google Meet (the easiest option—no installation required, you just click the link I send you) or Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference. During our sessions, we will actively use screen sharing, digital learning materials, and interactive notes to ensure your learning experience is highly effective and engaging.

Hi!

I am an English teacher and a writer with an MA in English Language and Literature and a TEFL certification. More than anything, I am a massive books and movies enthusiast. And I mean MASSIVE. If I could, I would spend all my time reading books, writing books, and watching movies.

I believe that the best way to learn and practice a language is through the stories we love and the characters that are close to our hearts. In our sessions, we focus on natural conversational English by exploring various stories and their effective use of the English language to make us feel something, even if it’s bad.

Depending on your interests, we can:

• Watch short clips about vocabulary or stress usage

MA in English Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy. My advanced university training focused on English philology, structural text analysis, narrative theory and high-level cross-cultural translation mechanics. A core component of my academic qualifications included comprehensive, specialized coursework in American, British, Canadian and Australian literary and cultural studies.

Experience / Qualifications

As a native Serbian speaker with a Master’s degree in English and a TEFL certification, I have over ten years of experience working online as an independent freelance language instructor and creative copywriter (2014 - Present). During my decade of working with digital platforms, creative writers, and adult learners from all over the world, I have specialized in content localization, text styling, and natural language acquisition. My extensive background in analyzing written copy and full-length manuscripts allows me to break down English dialogue, idioms, and subtext seamlessly.
I use this real-world professional experience to help you sound completely natural in English, using the movies and stories you love to make learning both highly effective and engaging.
