About Me

Hello,

I'm a native English speaker from Johannesburg, South Africa, with 5 years of online teaching experience. I work with students from around the world, including Russian learners and professionals based around the world. I have also taught Angolan engineering students in the Oil and Gas industry in Angola.

Alongside my teaching, I have 8 years of experience in Creative Arts and Art Installation, which is one of my greatest passions.

I hold a Bachelor of Technology in Journalism, with a focus on English, Creative Writing, Photojournalism, and Broadcasting, and I’m TEFL qualified. I’m currently working towards completing my TEFL Level 5 Certification with Trinity College London.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
