Maths one-one online tutoring for GCSE to A-level students
From 49.98 C$ /h
Maths isn't fun or useful! Or so you might think. In my lessons we will work through some mathematical principles you are learning at school or which you are struggling with and approach them in a more interesting way for you to better understand.
I have a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol and tutored GCSE mathematics during my summers as a student.
In these classes we follow the exam board syllabus that you are studying but you decide the focus and the pace of the lessons so that we can develop the areas you are finding most difficult to grasp.
I thoroughly enjoy helping students find some practical worth in the maths they are studying, as well as helping them reach the grades they are aspiring to.
If you are looking to iron out some pesky maths problems or want to develop your mathematical understanding in these difficult times I believe my classes will help you. Hope to hear from you soon.

About Me
Recently graduated from the University of Bristol in 2019 with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. I really enjoy practical sciences and often find that maths isn't considered to be practical or useful in some students' eyes.
In my private tutor lessons I like to work through the problems that the student is having, allowing them to dictate the focus of the session. We then approach the problems in different ways and explain the uses of the mathematical principles showing meaning to the maths beyond the scope of their syllabus. This I believe is crucial, as it develops a fuller understanding and a more problem solving approach which can be implemented during exams without having to work through tedious exercises which just become a memory game. With that said I am fully aware of the nuances of public exams and the requirements to fulfill the specifications of the mark scheme, which I will also work through with the student and so developing their mathematical development and exam practice to achieve the grades they are aspiring to.
