About Me

Over the last six years I have been fortunate enough to work in primary schools in Scotland, Qatar and Germany. I have experience of teaching maths, english, science, topic, art and sport to children from the ages of 4 to 12. I have always enjoyed working with children and enjoy being able to see them progress as a result of all their hard work. It is important for me to build strong relationships with the children I teach based on trust and respect and to allow me to get to know them so that I can tailor my teaching to suit their personal interests and needs. I have lots of experience teaching and tutoring children both in person and online and for the last fie years have been teaching children with english as a second language. It is important for me to plan lessons which are fun and interactive and use different strategies to keep children engaged in their learning such as hands on activities, games and quizzes.

I left high school in 2014 where I completed a mixture of highers and advanced highers in a range of subjects including maths, english, biology and computing. I left school with six As and a B at higher level and one A and one C at advanced higher level. I then went on to study Primary Education at the University of Glasgow for four years and graduated with a 2:1 BEd (Hons) Primary Education.

I completed one year as a primary 4 class teacher in a primary school in Scotland and then went on to work for a year in an international school in Qatar where I taught a year 3 class. For the last four years I have been working in a bilingual school in Berlin where I was responsible for teaching year 1 children with english as a second language.
