I am a qualified primary school teacher from the UK currently teaching at an international school in Germany.
I am offering online tutoring sessions for Maths and English/Literacy for children aged 4-12.

With an up to date understanding of the British curriculum and experience in teaching a range of ages, I am able to offer my skills to support the development of children's knowledge in Maths and Literacy. During my maths teaching, I aim to ensure that mathematical concepts are not just learnt, but that they are also understood. This will help to build confidence as well as laying the foundations for future learning in the subject.

In terms of English/Literacy teaching, I teach grammatical concepts within the context of writing using a range of genres from story writing to informative text. This helps to consolidate understanding of the grammar in a real-life and meaningful way. If reading is something you would like support with, I am experienced in teaching phonics and will focus on the skills needed to successfully comprehend a text.

About Me

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher from the UK. I currently live in Germany and teach in an international school. During my career, I have taught across a range of primary year groups which has given me a strong understanding of the curriculum and subject development. I believe there is more to a good education than just learning facts. I feel it is vital that children fully understand the mathematical and grammatical concepts they learn in order for them to apply their skills to real-life practice. This also provides them with the foundations they need to further their education and development in these subjects.

After completing my music degree in 2017, I trained to become a primary school teacher and qualified in 2018. I also completed a PGCE where my research focused on teaching pupils with English as an additional language, and the development of mathematical understanding. Since then, I have taught a range of age groups across primary schools and now teach in an international school in Germany.
