Introductory to Intermediate Macro and Microeconomics

Economics is divided into two broad fields:

Macroeconomics: Economics relating to national economies and the policies that effect ALL markets
Microeconomics: Economics relating to business to business interactions, oftentimes at the scale of one to a handful of markets.

The study of these fields introduces a lot of models and theories that form the foundation of any advanced education in Economics, as well as a functional understanding of economic theory and policy. Oftentimes, Politicians will misrepresent policies as more economically harmful/beneficial than what the prevailing literature would suggest. This course will help you be a more informed citizen of your economy, as well as go over important theories and concepts such as:
    1. Types of competition in markets
    2. Comparative advantage
    3. Price Floors/Ceilings and their effects on a market
    4. Fundamental models such as The Production Possibilities Frontier, Phillips Curve, Aggregate Demand-Aggregate Supply, Marginal productivity and more
5.Barriers to Market and conducive business environments

As always, if there are particular subject areas that you would like to focus on, I can include these within the framework of our tutoring, please feel free to reach out and request any special interest subject within the scope of Micro/Macroeconomics

    Experience / Qualifications

Tutored online for 3 years, including in person test prep sessions for the SAT and ACT (American university admission exams). I also tutored K-12 (primary and secondary school students) who fell behind in their classes due to covid, as a part of the Fulton County Covid remedial program.

I also was the Teacher's Assistant for the German and Arabic Language departments during my undergraduate. I was able to help students who spoke a variety of different native languages (Mandarin, French, Spanish, Farsi) learn and get acquainted with the different grammar and vocabulry of German or Arabic by connecting it to their native languages' grammar rules.
The way things are, are because of how they were. History offers the greatest data set for us to make hypotheses on how we should organize our society and the means we use to maintain and grow it. In this class, we will choose the time periods and locations you are interested in (or have to study for), and do a deep dive on the How's and Why's of those historical events. Using multimedia approaches, such as drawing exercises, maps, historical documents, and more this course will help you: 1. Remember and commit to memory historical events and details 2. Understand the ideas and inventions that transformed the way we interact 3. Write better essays by better structuring and analyzing your ideas 4. Get acquainted with basic to intermediate Economic theories 5. Confidently present your ideas 6. Connect far off historical events to your local culture

Economics, English, and Business Tutoring. Assist with mastering concepts: Understanding Tools and Mechanisms
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of helping students tackle subjects that can feel intimidating at first but are incredibly rewarding once you start to understand them. Whether it's Economics, English, or Business, I’ve seen firsthand how small breakthroughs can lead to big moments of confidence. In Economics, I love taking complex concepts like supply and demand, market structures, and economic policies and breaking them down into something that makes sense. I've had many students who started feeling lost, but once we worked through a few examples together, they realized that economics isn’t as difficult as it seems—it’s all about understanding the patterns and relationships. When it comes to English, I’ve helped countless students refine their writing and communication. Whether it’s crafting a compelling essay, improving grammar, or just feeling more comfortable reading difficult texts, I've been there with my students through every step. The best part? Seeing the growth from struggling with basic concepts to confidently expressing themselves in writing and conversation. And in Business, I’ve worked with students ranging from those who dream of running their own companies to those looking to ace their business courses. Together, we dive into the foundations of marketing, management, and finance, and I love seeing those "aha" moments when the dots connect. It’s such an exciting field because it’s all about real-world applications, and I make sure to tie lessons back to the skills students need for future success. What I’ve learned from tutoring in these subjects is that each student has a unique learning style, and my goal is always to tailor the experience to what works best for them. Whether you need extra help preparing for an exam, want to polish your writing, or are looking to understand how business really works in the world, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Experienced Tutor Offering Lessons in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Economics, Math for Economists, and Statistics
I have 15 years of experience as a research and teaching assistant, having worked at various universities and private educational institutions in both the U.S. and Turkey. I’m also a software developer. My interests include photography, music, and nature. Seeing my students grow and succeed is my greatest source of joy. In fact, I consider myself a lifelong learner — and my students are often the ones I learn the most from. I begin by conducting an in-depth interview to understand the student's specific needs. Based on this, I identify the key topics to focus on. I then deliver my lessons using real-life examples (including mathematical expressions), in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner. Throughout the process, I make sure everything is clearly understood. I also regularly collect feedback from the student to identify and address any remaining gaps.
