Teacher Tasha will present at least 5 different sight words (if time allows, more sight words will be presented). She will encourage students to spell the word and think of other words that might rhyme with the main sight word. Students will practice using a complete sentence to say; - their name (e.g. My name is Tasha.) - say where they live (e.g., I live in Poland.) - express their favourite food (e.g. My favorite food is sushi.) - express their likes and dislikes (e.g. I like to play tennis. I don't like to eat mushrooms.). Students may also ask and answer questions with the teacher and other students in the class. 🪄Learning Objectives ✅Students will improve basic reading comprehension skills through Visualization ✅Students will be encouraged to Interact & Engage in each lesson ✅Students will work on Social Skills 🌸🌈Welcome to Build Reading Comprehension Skills via Visualization - the Spooky Edition!🌸🌈 The learning objective is for students to improve their reading comprehension skills through visualization. ✨✨Please Note: A parent/guardian/support person is welcome to join/be next to the student during class✨✨ This multi-day, small group course is mainly aimed towards students who are ESL learners and/or who are beginning their reading journey. It can also be for any reader who is basically struggling with his/her reading comprehension skills. After going over brief introductions & basic class rules, Teacher Tasha will help students practice & improve their reading comprehension skills through pictures, scavenger hunt and a children's story book. Interaction will be highly encouraged. Tasha will focus on helping students realize that reading comprehension can be easy through imagining in their minds what they hear & read just as well as it can be easy to express what they see.
