Hi, I’m Luisa, a native Romanian speaker and a qualified teacher. I graduated from Ovidius University of Constanța, hold Romania’s Grade I teaching qualification, and have taught English for 25 years. I teach Romanian to expats and have experience teaching both children and adults online through Buki and Alright.

If you’re new to Romanian, we’ll start with conversations you can use right away, from introducing yourself and ordering food to chatting with colleagues or family. I explain grammar and pronunciation in English when you need it, then give you plenty of time to practise speaking Romanian at your own pace.

About Me

My lessons are structured around what you want to do in Romanian, whether that’s getting around town, speaking with colleagues, or chatting with family. If you’re a beginner, we’ll start with short dialogues you can use right away. I model pronunciation, explain grammar in English when needed, and give you time to practise through role-play and guided conversation.

For children, I use pictures, games, and short speaking activities. For adults, I use everyday scenarios and introduce vocabulary you can use between lessons. I give specific feedback and revisit key phrases in later lessons so they become easier to use on your own.
