Chemistry is a beautiful and essential science that helps us understand how the world works at a molecular level. This course offers a, introduction to the foundational principles of chemistry. Students will explore topics such as atomic structure, kinetics, molecular orbital and valence bond theory, chemical equilibrium, and acid-base theory. The curriculum also includes dimensional analysis, physical properties of matter, phase diagrams, salts, and the fundamentals of thermodynamics. This course is designed to build a strong conceptual framework, this course will help students builds tools to analyze and appreciate the chemical processes that happen in our everyday life.

I am a recent Mexican-American graduate of The College of Wooster, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I believe that everyone learns in a unique way, and effective tutoring should be tailored to meet each individual's needs. I am a recent college graduate from the College of Wooster, where I earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Chemistry. My senior year independent study focused on Organic Chemistry, titled "Evaluating the Potential of Cationic Porphyrins as Photosensitizers for Photodynamic Anticancer Therapy."
Experience / Qualifications
Teaching Fellowship at Generation Teach: Taught math and enrichment classes to middle school students, completing over 350 hours of AmeriCorps service. I received daily coaching, implemented community-building strategies, and developed inclusive teaching practices.
