IGCSE, ICSE & CBSE Chemistry and Physics (Grades 7-10) with Exam Technique
From 37 C$ /h
I am a Postgraduate Teacher of Chemistry and Physics with over ten years in the classroom. I currently teach ICSE Grades 8 and 9 at an international school in Gurugram, and before that spent nine years teaching CBSE Grades 9 and 10.
In 2022 I served as a CBSE Assistant Head Examiner for Class X Science. I have marked board scripts against the official marking scheme, so I know precisely where students lose marks on answers they think are correct. Very little of what I teach is guesswork about what examiners want.
Results my students have achieved:
- 100% board pass rate across every batch I have taught
- Between 50 and 80 students per batch scoring above 95 marks
- Multiple perfect scores of 100/100 in Science
WHAT I TEACH
Chemistry and Physics for Grades 7 to 10, across CBSE, ICSE and IGCSE. The full foundation years: atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table, acids bases and salts, stoichiometry and organic basics; motion, force, work and energy, light, sound, electricity and magnetism. I also prepare students specifically for board and IGCSE papers, including Paper 2, 4 and 6 technique.
HOW MY CLASSES WORK
Every session starts from where you actually are, not from where the syllabus says you should be. I diagnose the gap, teach the concept properly, then drill it with past-paper questions so the understanding survives contact with a real exam.
I teach on a digital whiteboard with a pen tablet, so you get clean worked solutions and diagrams, and I share the notes after every class. Between sessions I set targeted practice and mark it the way a board examiner would, with the marks broken down so you can see exactly what earned credit.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Students moving from a middling grade to a top one, students who find Chemistry abstract and want it to finally make sense, and board or IGCSE candidates who need their answer-writing sharpened rather than just more content.
I also run my own online academy, Nexus Minds Academy, and have taught online for WhiteHat Jr, so these are properly designed live online lessons, not a classroom lesson pointed at a webcam.
First class: tell me your board, your grade and the topic you are struggling with most, and I will build the session around it.

Please have your textbook, notebook and a calculator at hand. If you have a recent test paper, worksheet or marked answer script, send it to me before the session and I will build the lesson around the specific gaps it shows

About Me
I have taught Chemistry and Physics for over ten years, and what still holds my attention is the moment a student stops memorising and starts reasoning. Chemistry is the subject most students try to survive by learning things by heart, and the one where that fails hardest. My job is usually to undo that habit before I teach anything new.
In 2022 I worked as a CBSE Assistant Head Examiner for Class X Science, marking board scripts against the official scheme. That year changed how I teach. I read hundreds of answers from students who clearly understood the concept and still lost marks, because they wrote loosely, skipped a step, or answered a slightly different question from the one asked. So I teach the science properly, then I teach how to write it down, which is a separate skill almost nobody is taught explicitly.
I am patient with confusion and firm about precision. Tell me you did not understand something for the third time and I will find a fourth way to explain it. What I will not do is let a vague answer pass as a correct one, because an examiner will not either.
The students I enjoy most are the ones who ask "but why does that happen", and the ones who have decided they are bad at science. That second group usually is not. They were taught science as a list of facts to accept rather than ideas that follow from each other, and that is fixable.

Education
M.Tech, Computer Science
B.Ed, Bachelor of Education
B.Tech, Information Technology
My degrees are in engineering and education. My subject expertise in Chemistry and Physics comes from a decade of teaching them at board level and from serving as a CBSE examiner in Class X Science. The B.Ed is my teaching qualification; the engineering background is why I teach the quantitative side, stoichiometry, numericals and problem solving, with a lot of structure.
