Biology Tutoring for Students at a Schooling Level

This class is for primary and secondary school level Biology tutoring. This includes pre-GCSE, GCSE, AS-Level and A-Level instruction.

Our sessions will be relaxed and I will cater them to whatever it is that you need to cover and to how best you learn. I won't insist we waste time on areas you're comfortable with or fly past topics you don't fully understand; you dictate what we cover.

I may occasionally assign extra questions or reading to be completed prior to our next session if I feel it'll help you in your understanding, but this won't be a regular occurrence (I know you already get enough homework as it is!)

I ask that you inform me a few days prior to our session of the topic/s that you'd like to cover so as I can do additional reading myself and gather notes prior so as I can be as helpful to you as is possible.

I'd also like to have a short Facetime/Zoom etc. before our first class (without payment) so that we can get to know eachother a little. From personal experience, I know that you learn most efficiently when you get along with your teacher!

Based on my current degree, if we have a regular class time, I may occasionally have to fit this around my studies, but I would get in touch in plenty of time to let you know if this were the case.

About Me

Hi!

I'm Kate and I'm a 22 year-old medical student from Devon. I have an undergraduate BSc degree in Applied Medical Sciences and enjoy using what I've learnt from my schooling and degrees to help others in their understanding of the biological sciences (they're pretty amazing after all). I have previous teaching experience of roughly 6 years teaching First Aid and Lifesaving to a variety of age groups (unfortunately not things you can teach online!)

I'm incredibly approachable and friendly and before our first session I'd like to have a short Facetime or Zoom etc. (without payment) just to get to know you as I've found from personal experience that you learn far more effectively if you get along with your teacher!

In terms of my teaching style, I'll base what we do on whatever it is that you need and how best you learn in order to be as useful to you as I can be. I only ask that you inform me a few days in advance of whatever topic it is that you'd like to cover so as I can do additional reading in my own time and gather notes prior to our session to be as helpful as I can.
