Mathematics is a subject that makes many students anxious, and thus hinders their understanding of the Mathematical concepts. I am very passionate about Mathematics and I have an indepth knowledge of its concepts, I studied Actuarial Science so I have experience in Mathematics on a university level. I also have extensive experience in tutoring from grade 7 to grade 12 and my students have all shown amazing results.

My classes are 1 on 1 because I like to adapt my teaching style to my individual student's needs and preferred learning techniques. I teach all topics in Mathematics from grade 7 to 12, and I believe all students have the ability to develop good mathematical skills, they just need a good teacher who is patient and takes the time to understand what there students need. I also work through math problems with my students and provide them with extra practice questions. I believe practice makes perfect, especially with Math.

About Me

My name is Emma. I am a software engineer by profession and I tutor Math on the side. I am very passionate about Mathematics and it brings me a lot of joy to see my students who previously struggled at Math excel and even start to love it.

My love for Math began as a child, when I was about 5 years old I received one of those learning laptops and I'd spend hours on it learning my times tables and learning addition and subtraction. Then once was in high school would provide private tutoring lessons to my peers who were struggling in Math and to students in grades below me. I began to love teaching Math.

Now I tutor Math on the side and I love it! My approach to tutoring is to adapt my teaching method to the needs of my individual student and their preferred learning style. I am also very patient and nurturing in my approach. I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
